Islamic book and Quran printing in Kolkata and across India

We design, typeset and print Islamic books and Quran editions from Kolkata, with careful Arabic, Urdu and Farsi typesetting and a proof you approve before anything is printed. Print has been part of our family business since the 1980s.

Plan your print job

Build your job and see it take shape

Choose the size, pages, paper and binding and watch the book change. It is a planning aid to help you decide what to ask for, and an exact fixed price comes from talking to us.

Why Islamic book and Quran printing needs extra care

The text of the Quran and of religious books must be exact. A missing mark, a changed word or a verse set in the wrong place is not a small error. That is why the process is built around the text, not around the printing machine.

We ask you to give us the text from a source you trust and to have it checked by your own qualified reviewer, and we set it exactly as supplied. We print only after you approve the final proof in writing.

What we design, typeset and print

  • Quran editions: the full Quran or parts of it, with the layout you specify
  • Islamic studies and reference books, in Arabic, Urdu, Farsi, English, Hindi, Bengali or more than one language
  • Bilingual books: Arabic text with an Urdu or English translation side by side
  • Children’s Islamic books, dua and prayer booklets
  • Institutional and organisational publications, brochures and catalogues

Arabic, Urdu and Farsi typesetting

Setting Arabic, Urdu and Farsi is different from setting English. The page runs right to left, the diacritical marks and verse markers must sit correctly, the fonts must stay readable at small sizes, and an English word or a number inside an Arabic or Urdu line must not break the layout. We handle this in typesetting, and we check it in the proof.

Paper and binding for books that are used every day

A Quran or a daily-use Islamic book is handled again and again. Paper that is opaque enough that the text on the back does not show through, a binding that opens flat and does not crack, and a cover that survives frequent use matter as much as the layout. Tell us how the book will be used, and we will advise on the paper and binding before you decide.

Who we print for

Questions about printing

Do you print the Quran?

We design, typeset and print Quran editions, working from the text you supply and approve, with your own qualified reviewer checking the proof.

Who checks the Arabic text?

You do. We set the text exactly as you supply it, we show you the proof, and we print only after your written approval. We ask that a qualified reviewer of your choice checks the proof of any religious text.

How much does Islamic book or Quran printing cost?

It depends on the number of copies, the size, the number of pages, the paper, the binding and the languages. We give a fixed price in writing, with scope and timeline, after you tell us those details.

Can you set a book in Arabic with an Urdu or English translation?

Yes. We typeset bilingual and multilingual books, including Arabic with a translation set side by side.

Where do you work from?

From Kolkata. We deliver the printed copies to the address you give us.
